Toasted Pumpkin Seeds

One of my favorite fall traditions is toasting the pumpkin seeds after carving our jack-o-lantern.  Now that the kids are older we haven’t carved pumpkins for a few years.  But, last night we had a pumpkin carving birthday party and boy did we have a lot of pumpkin seeds.

 

Taylor was excited to save them so I pulled the seeds of several pumpkins in preparation for roasting.  Below are the step by step instructions.  You may not need them but I’d like to save this for posperity…and for the girls to be able to reference for their own pumpkin seed toasting.

Herected are the steps by step instructions:

Preheat oven to 325.

Place foil in shallow baking pan.

Place freshly rinsed seeds in a single layer in the pan. Salt lightly.

Place pan in oven and bake for 17 minutes.  Taste test.

Your can play around with flavors if you want.  I want to try cinnamon sugar.  If it turns out I’ll let you know.
